Women entrepreneurs secretly live in terror that someone will question their value and as a result, they engage in all kinds of sabotaging behavior as a cover up.

I see it all of the time — under charging, over delivering, putting up with flakey client behavior, not making enough offers, hoping to get on stage at an event instead of asking outright, tolerating boundary issues with team, answering emails in the middle of the night…

The list goes on but what really matters here is solving this issue once and for all. Because by solving it, you’re going to see a rapid up tick in your income and in your self-esteem.

So here are 3 truths that will help you see the value of what you do, not through the eyes of someone who is doubting herself, but through the lens of a fresh perspective that will set you free to confidently get on with the business of exponentially growing your business!

Truth #1: Value Is Proportional To Results

One simple tool I created and have used in coaching thousands of women entrepreneurs to re calibrate and appreciate the value they offer, is to list 30 results your clients get from working with you. Not 10, not 20 and not even 28. By switching your focus to what actually happens for your clients you’ll find yourself easily able to reposition your offers from the lens of results, which automatically takes the internal pressure off of you.

Truth #2: Doubting Your Value Is A Childhood Wound That Needs To Be Healed Outside Of Your Business

No matter how idyllic our upbringing may have been, we all experienced some form of family pressures. As a child, you may not have had the experience, wisdom or choice to see those pressures for what they are: OPC (Other Peoples’ Crap). But as an adult, you DO have a choice.

Doubting or believing in your value is an inside job, and where you are in your self-growth journey will be reflected in your business. My advice? Identify the types of people or situations that are likely to trigger any lurking doubts about value. Then, do the personal work necessary to clean this emotional gunk up once and for all. You’ll feel as if you’ve been set free and your business growth will reflect this in a healthy, positive way!

Truth #3: Clients Want You To Connect-the-Value-Dots For Them

People want to feel good about the investment they’ve made in their transformation and they appreciate being reminded that they’re receiving products and services that are helping them in both big and in little ways. And they need you to help them see the transformation that’s happening for them.

I recommend making it a habit to seed your presentations, VIP Days, teleseminars and articles with phrases that point out and emphasize value. For example, you can say, "The value of this tip is ____________" or ask your clients, "What was most valuable from our morning session?" And remember when promoting your programs, products or services on the web to list the value of each component you’re including.

Make Focusing On Value A New Habit And You’ll Quickly Stop "Feeding the Wolf" of Self-Doubt — I Promise!

So, what is the value to you in receiving this coaching advice? How much more income can you easily bring into your business simply by letting go of doubting your value, and focusing on the amazing value you deliver instead? ((-:

Women make the perfect entrepreneurs because we love to connect, network and support others. We’re super creative, resourceful and we know how to get tons done.

So why aren’t more women successfully creating 6 and 7 figure businesses? Why are most women entrepreneurs walking around, outwardly smiling but inwardly feeling like a fraud?

Because of the inner b.s. they let themselves believe!

Which is why at each of my live events and coaching workshops, I’m continuously asked, “Kendall, what shifts did you make in your mindset in order to up level your business so massively?”

Yes, I had to change my mindset when I decided to stop playing small and say yes to getting my gifts and message out into the world in a bigger way. But I also had to take an honest look at the b.s. I was living with day to day…and do something about it.

Which is why I’m sharing these PERSONAL and CANDID tips with you, so you can quickly let go of what’s keeping you from experiencing entrepreneurial freedom.

No B.S. Tip #1: Stop Worrying About What Other’s Might Be Saying About You

Worrying what others will say or think about you can be stifling to your professional and personal growth. It’s a given that others will talk about you, and it won’t always be flattering or even nice.

My Advice: Understand that your success is triggering something for them that needs to be healed. It’s really not about you so rather than letting it get to you, look beneath the words to the heart of the person speaking them. It’s not your business to heal, fix, teach a lesson or shine your light less brightly. So turn your attention to taking care of your business and let their unflattering comments fall by the wayside, without giving them any more energy.

No B.S. Tip #2: See The Truth Behind All That Comparison You’re Doing

Guys use the energy of comparison to drive their competitive spirit, whereas women mostly use comparison to tear themselves down. Comparison feeds the wolf of not feeling valued or good enough.

My Advice: Listen up, because this will set you free — comparison will make you crazy, make you feel small and will rob you of the energy you need to get your gifts out into the world in a big way, via your business. Every time I catch myself getting caught in the trap of comparison I ask myself, “Where am I afraid or holding back?” Try it and you’ll see how quickly you’ll be snapped out of comparison and into aligned action.

No B.S. Tip #3: Dodging Making A Decision

There are two kinds of decisions women entrepreneurs make. The first type is to play it safe and keep everything tightly under control. This is the kind of decision that comes from fear and will at best, produce modest results and create massive overwhelm.

The second type of decision comes from grace and it feels exhilarating, empowering, terrifying and electric! It takes you forward by leaps and is life-altering, even though in the moment, it may not feel convenient or even comfortable.

My Advice: Stop saying "it’s not the right time", "I’m already …" or "I can’t because…" because these are clear indicators you’re dodging a decision! And instead, get serious about making decisions that contain the potential to pull you forward. So, what is the first decision you’re going to make today?

Your Entrepreneurial Path Is To Help You Grow and to Let Go

People always say "Do what you love and the money will follow" but the mindset I believe in is this one that I created: "Your income is a measurable mirror of your willingness to stand in Grace and let go of the b.s.".

Whatever stage of business development you’re currently in, you’re likely looking at simple ways you can improve your results. Making more sales, attracting ideal clients, up leveling your branding, hosting workshops, affording more team, growing your list and more.

Where most women entrepreneurs struggle is in knowing which activities they should prioritize first and even more importantly, how to hold on to the mindset that it takes when the business you’re juggling on a daily basis is a far cry from the business of your dreams.

This is where having a system and the right strategies pays off in a big way. For example, if you’re not yet consistently making enough money to cover all of your expenses, then your focus is best spent on generating your first 8-10 clients at higher fees rather than wasting your time on launching something like a membership site.

Every time you up level your business you can plan on experiencing a period that is a mix of the old and the new. I laughingly refer to this as the “business equivalent of hormone imbalance” because one minute you’ll be super excited and completely clear about your new direction, only to find yourself crying the next minute, wondering what you’ve gotten yourself into.

What I do during this time of massive up leveling is follow 3 simple steps that keep me centered and focused and out of overwhelm. I recommend printing these tips out and pasting them on your computer or bulletin board where they’ll help you make this transformation in your business smooth and exciting!

Focus Point #1: Give Yourself A New Mindset

My favorite mindset tip is to ask yourself, “What would a million dollar business woman do?” This is the same question I asked myself when I was looking to make a massive shift upwards in my income. The reason it works so beautifully is because it pulls you out of old patterns and challenges you to think, feel, act and believe as the business woman you desire becoming.

And what if you’re already at high 6-figures or even 7 figures? Simply up the amount. For example, you can make it “What would a 5 million dollar business woman do?”

Focus Point #2: First Create Consistent Cash Flow

Cash flow is the ruling Queen of your business. No matter what stage of your business you’re in, decide how much cash you need to create to cover your expenses, to pay yourself and to give you peace of mind. The key is to be specific and determine your amount first, then focus on the how-to. This (along with other strategies I teach on this topic) will keep you in a proactive mindset regarding your income, rather than in a passive, or reactive, disempowered place.

Focus Point #3: What You Start Your Day With Determines Your Success

In every stage of growing your business you’ll need to let go of tasks and activities that represent the old you, in order to make way for the actions that put you on the path of success at your new level.

My advice is to start your day with the 3 key actions that will bring in new clients, referrals and cash flow. Decide in advance what these are, write them down and do them first — before answering email, voice mail or hopping on to social media.

And Be Sure To Mentor With Someone Who Is Where You Aspire To Be

Women are energetic sponges for the people they surround themselves with. Which means it’s critical for you to invest in spending time with a mentor and get in a coaching group filled with high achievers who are continuously pulling themselves — and you! — forward. You’ll be amazed and delighted how quickly you too, become one of these high achievers that others are inspired to be around!

Click here if you would rather listen to this article.

What would happen if you made money a priority in your business AND your life? If you’re quick to think, “But it’s not about the money for me” then let me help you understand something critical to your building a successful business: if you’re not making money it means you’re not getting to help and serve enough people.

I’ve coached hundreds of people in my programs (and thousands via speaking and teleseminars) and one of the biggest challenges woman business owners face is spending more time worrying about money than in taking the right actions to generate more money.

So let me help you by sharing the MOST important actions you can take to keep from feeling at the mercy of money, with little control or influence over what you make, even though you may be marketing like crazy. By taking these simple steps every day you’ll quickly begin to see a difference in your bottom line…and in your confidence as a woman entrepreneur!

Priority Action #1: Focus FIRST on Income-Generating Activities

Women are biologically wired to want to organize and tidy things. As entrepreneurs, that can turn into a habit of starting each day by cleaning out your inbox, straightening your desk, and taking care of “quick” tasks. It may feel satisfying to check these things off your list, but they aren’t going to produce income for you.

I recommend starting each morning by taking action first on your income generating activities. And no, plugging in to social media doesn’t count! You’ll find that by focusing on income generating tasks early in your day, you’ll feel emotionally and financially on track, every day.

Priority Action #2: Use Systems to Create Income

Successful entrepreneurs take risks, try new ideas, and stretch themselves to bring the best of their gifts into the world. They don’t, however, do this in a random manner. For example: client lists are built strategically. Programs and products are created and launched based on a formula that generates and maximizes sales.

Money flows most easily through clear structures and systems. And systems streamline your work which means you can spend more time on serving your clients or doing the things you love the most.

Priority Action #3: Don’t Get Stuck In A “Dollars for Hours” Rut

When you’re first launching your business, seeing clients 1-on-1 is the perfect way to gain experience and build momentum. But sticking with this model will quickly leave you burned out and unable to break through into new income levels.

Instead, it’s crucial that you learn how to easily and quickly add new income streams to your business so that you’re leveraging your time, serving greater numbers of clients in less time and creating advantageous, new opportunities.

It’s Easier To Make More Money Than It Is To Make Less

By making these 3 actions a habit, you’ll quickly expand your income and your confidence, helping you to create the kind of stability and reliable income you want so you can happily enjoy — and grow — your business!

Spring is definitely in the air, which gives you the perfect opportunity for a fresh start when it comes to marketing your business.

Now is the time to make an honest assessment of what’s working and what you can ditch so you’re making the most of your time and energy.

And by making any necessary course corrections now, you’re more likely to avoid those end of the year, “What happened?!” panicky moments that spell out loss of income and money worries.

If you’re like me, you love checklists. Which is why I created a simple one for you to use today, to see at a glance what needs your attention…and where you can give yourself permission to let something go.

Use this simple assessment. And by all means, be honest! Everyone gets off track over time. The point is to use this assessment as your “what to do” checklist so you get ON track, today.

Click here if you would rather listen to this article.

When I first started coaching over a decade ago, I was taught to “let the client lead the agenda.”

The problem with this approach is it put me in a reactive position as their coach (meaning, I followed their lead, responding to what they decided to coach on), rather than a proactive position, where I could stretch them in bigger ways, helping them to accelerate their progress.

Plus, the problem with this old style approach is that it opened the door to hearing, “I’m not sure what I want to coach on today” which resulted in higher client drop out rates.

And, to top it off, I felt I was hiding out, not speaking my truth and holding back from giving my clients more of what they needed to thrive and excel.

Finally, one day, I had enough and began being more directive with my clients. I introduced new content, skillfully wove in training and began putting them on a path that I KNEW would work for them.

And you know what? My clients LOVED it!

If you’re a coach trained in the “old school” method, or you’re new to coaching and you haven’t quite found your footing yet, this new paradigm of blending information with coaching can feel uncomfortable at first.

Which is why you need to know how much content to include in your coaching sessions, and even more importantly, WHAT content your clients are most likely to pay you to deliver. Here are 3 easy steps you want to take to help get you started.

Step #1 Bring Marketable Content To Every Call

While the philosophy that the client leads the agenda may have worked years ago, in today’s economic climate, clients expect YOU as their coach to give them the answers. And they expect you to share knowledge that will help them quickly accelerate their results.

My advice? Plan on delivering a small portion of content in each of your coaching calls. This is your opportunity to pull out your checklists, templates or scripts — anything that will save your clients time and make it easier for them to get into action.

Step #2 Don’t Be Afraid Of Being “Bossy”

When I was a little girl, my grade school teachers had a tough time keeping me in my seat. I always wanted to help others with their spelling, math or reading. Little did I know that what got me into trouble back then would serve me beautifully in creating a multimillion dollar coaching company!

Your clients want you to be a leader. So don’t hold back from sharing your concerns, revealing what your intuition is telling you and from being clearly directive. I promise you that your clients will love you MORE when you show them what to do.

Step #3 Don’t Waste Time Reinventing What Is At Your Fingertips

If you don’t have your content pulled together into a marketable package then consider getting trained in someone else’s system. And even if you already have a Signature System, this is still a great way of introducing fresh, new content into your coaching programs. Just be sure that what you’re getting trained in is a complete system that includes templates, forms and marketing support because you’ll need this to be successful.

Remember that people don’t hire coaches, they invest in getting a specific problem solved.

Instead of trying to sell coaching, focus on offering marketable content and you’ll benefit from a steady increase in coaching clients AND income.

Lately I’ve been hearing from women entrepreneurs how they’re struggling with what I’ve dubbed, “implementation overwhelm.” That’s when they find themselves bouncing from one idea to the next, with nothing yet fully implemented. No matter how great a gal is at juggling multiple priorities, there comes a point when she has to admit that she’s lost perspective about what’s best to focus on.

That’s when most women pull back and put key projects on hold, drop out of coaching programs, stop learning new business building strategies or in some way greatly reduce any goals they had set for themselves.

Unfortunately, that isn’t always the best choice, largely because it doesn’t address the underlying reasons that got them into this situation in the first place. Which means the cycle will repeat itself.

And since I’m often asked, “Kendall, you are always implementing and launching something, how do you DO it?” I want to share my secrets with you for consistently implementing new projects, minus the overwhelm.

Secret #1 Let Go Of The Little Things First

The initial reaction most women have to feeling overwhelmed is to let go of what they perceive to be a bigger commitment or a project that’s just outside their comfort zone. This is a BIG mistake! The bigger projects are often exactly the ones that will move your business forward. You’re better off immediately removing all of the small tasks from your to-do list. While this may at first make you feel uncomfortable, you’ll find the freedom and peace of mind you’re seeking once you let the small stuff fall by the wayside, I promise!

I recommend that you pull out your to-do list and immediately eliminate 3 items on it that are not directly income producing.

Secret #2 Never Sacrifice Getting Mentoring Or Coaching

Women biz owners are already notorious for trying to “go it alone” because they feel they “should” be able to do everything by themselves. Ladies, this is not natural nor is it in Divine flow. Women are meant to collaborate and to band together during tough times. There is truly no shame in asking for help and it’s in no way an admission of failure. Your mentors are here to help you so instead of retreating, reach out and ask for support.

I suggest reaching out for support this week on a topic that’s been feeling overwhelming or stressful.

Secret #3 Use Systems To Liberate You

One thing I did when I started taking the growth of my business seriously was to create a checklist at the start of every project, listing each of the tasks that would need to be accomplished. Then, each day, I would just “work” my list. It felt great to check action items off the list and I got the emotional reassurance I need to know I was on track each day. And even though my business is now much bigger, I still follow the same strategy by insisting that my team create checklists for each of the projects they’re responsible for. Now, I’m so addicted to the feeling of freedom, grace and ease that using checklists creates, I can’t imagine going back to the “winging it” method ever again.

I suggest pulling out the project that feels the most overwhelming and creating a simple checklist of the steps needed to complete it, even if you don’t personally know how to do all of the steps. By listing them out this way you’ll free your energy to find the right resources to help you.

If You Use Feeling Overwhelmed To Help You Create Better Systems And To Focus On Letting Go Of The Small Stuff, You’ll Quickly Find The Freedom You Desire…And Grow Your Business At The Same Time

The next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t panic and don’t get off track. Remember that this is an opportunity to do less of the small, unimportant stuff so that you can focus on the projects that help you create your next level of success.

I give a lot of live events each year, and I’ve learned there’s more to creating a stellar experience for people than just having great content.

Yes, you need to be sure you’re delivering everything your attendees expect, but there is also an unspoken agreement between you and your audience that you must fulfill. I call this your Spiritual Workshop Agreement.

At each event attendees ask me, “Kendall, how do you maintain your energy during your events?”

I have a few secrets I’ve developed over the years to help me stay focused, confident and connected to three areas: Spirit, my audience, and my content.

Here are 3 simple tips you can implement to help you deliver your presentation with confidence, any time, anywhere. You’re welcome to use these whether you’re speaking for 10 minutes in front of your local networking group or you’re presenting several days of content in front of your own workshop audience.

Tip #1 One Month Before: Connect To Your Content

Good content becomes great content when you feel emotionally connected to the information you’re delivering. This is the time to review your content to make sure every piece of it feels meaningful to you and you feel a strong, clear emotional resonance with it. Make any tweaks you need now, so your confidence is 100%.

Tip #2 One Week Before: Connect To Your “Energetic Presence”

This may sound a little woo-woo but I’ve discovered that as a presenter, there is a core, energetic quality people most appreciate about you. Get clear on what that quality is. Then, each day, practice generating that feeling within you. Think of radiating this energy as strongly as you possibly can. Practicing this ahead of time leaves no room for stage fright or performance worries. Your energy is what people will remember most about your presentation.

Tip #3 One Day Before: Connect With Your Attendees

While it’s unlikely you’ll get the chance to meet people ahead of time, these final hours before your event are the perfect time to imagine a room full of people who are happy and eager to hear what you have to say. Imagine them one by one and ask yourself what they may be struggling with the most, within your area of expertise. Continue your inner dialogue by imagining which portion of your content will help them solve their struggle. This type of energetic rehearsing will help you feel as if you know them even before you welcome them from the stage.

Speaking From The Stage Is An Opportunity To Lead With Your Presence As Well As With Your Content

When you take the stage, feeling confident, connected and in alignment with the value you bring to your audience, they will sit up and pay attention. So, lead as much with your heart as you do with your content and your audience will love you!

Click here if you would rather listen to this article.

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of knowing you have the full belief of your spouse, supporting you in your business.

But what do you do if (or when) that support isn’t there? How can you get your guy (or you partner) to support you when they may be facing their own doubts about the economy, how success may change you, their own frustrated ambitions, you name it!

Ideally, the loved one you live with is behind you every step of the way. But the reality is, a lot of women entrepreneurs struggle with getting the kind of unwavering, fully committed, unconditional support they need. If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t think my husband will go for this” when it comes to investing in your business then you know what I’m talking about!

Happily, there ARE simple steps you can take immediately to get your guy more onboard in supporting as you invest in growing your business, and even potentially strengthen your relationship in the process!

Step #1 Stop Playing “Little Girl”

Be honest — when you’re talking to your partner about your business plans, are you inwardly seeking permission and hoping to gain approval? All this kind of behavior does is set you (and him!) up for a power struggle.

When you give up your power in this way, you create a shaky emotional foundation that will make it difficult for you to gain clients, attract marketing partners and charge what you’re worth.

Instead, have an honest conversation with your mate where you present your vision, your plans for attracting new clients and your estimates of where you want to be at 90-days, 6 months, 1 year and more.

Let him know exactly how he can support you in specific, actionable ways. For example, let him know you need more help around the house or with the kids. Remember, your relationship is a partnership, where both people are making contributions.

Step #2 Be A Woman Of Your Word

Growing a successful business takes tremendous courage and confidence. And sometimes, hitting a speed bump such as losing an important client or not making the sales you anticipated can shake a gal’s confidence.

While inwardly, you may feel like you want to crawl in bed and pull the covers over your head, this is the moment where you must stay committed to pursuing your dream. Which means instead of quitting, giving up or hiding out behind “I guess it wasn’t meant to be” you pick yourself up, learn from what happened and try again.

And be sure that when you join a coaching program or invest in training course or in home study programs that you participate actively, do the exercises, implement what you’re learning and take advantage of every benefit being offered. By demonstrating commitment to your own success, you’ll gain greater self respect…and the respect of your mate.

Step #3 Don’t Take On Your Mate’s Emotional Stuff

Watching someone pursue their dream can trigger in others feelings of frustrated ambition, fear of losing the relationship they’re accustomed to, insecurities and more. And those feelings can often erupt, causing disagreements or difficulties in your relationship.

While it’s important to be compassionate about what your partner may be going through, it’s crucial that you let them own their own feelings, and you own yours. Which means not reacting when their “little kid” is acting out, and instead, seeing them for what they are in the moment: scared.

This is a journey you’re both on and your business can be an amazing opportunity for you to stand in your power in new and exciting ways!

Your entrepreneurial journey is an extraordinary opportunity for you to live a life of meaning, contribution and fabulous income. And all because of learning how to stand in your power with feminine grace and ease, both at home and in your business.

And while I can’t promise that every moment is easy or blissful (I wish!) what I can promise is that the you that you become as a result of your entrepreneurial journey is someone you’ll be proud of!

Everyone who’s seen it is really excited! You can download the 45-minute audio where I explained how to use this very cool tool AND the bonus downloadable outline at http://www.LeapEvent2012.com/leap-list.html.

At first, I was really surprised when people at my events would step up to the mic and ask me, “Kendall, what was one of the mindset shifts you made back when you FIRST made your big leap from struggling to success?”

Before that, I had kept my mindset tools secret. But your questions proved to me that mindset is just as much — if not MORE — important to you than the specific marketing techniques I’m so well known for teaching.

And because I’ve been asked this question so often, I decided to open my personal vault and share with you one of THE most POWERFUL mindset tools I’ve ever discovered.

I call it your “Leap List”.

When you follow my SIMPLE OUTLINE for what MUST be on your Leap List, you’ll find you are effortlessly pulled forward, thinking big and building your business in new, exhilarating and exciting ways.

Are you curious to know more?

I’ll walk you through how to use this tool in a special FREE audio training call, plus give you a downloadable Leap List OUTLINE you can use any time you want.

In this training you will discover…

The FOUR essential components your Leap List MUST include that make growing your business exciting (including examples from my own original Leap List)

Insights into my personal journey I’ve never shared before, including which ONE aspect of myself I had to transcend in order to rapidly grow as a woman entrepreneur (warning: what I share here is candid and deeply personal)

The emotional reason behind WHY your list may not be growing as rapidly as you want and the simple tool you can use to begin overcoming this important issue, today

In this 45-minute training call you’ll hear me candidly reveal the internal shifts I made and the SIMPLE tool I used back in the early days of my business — and STILL use today — to LEAP ahead in my business and in my life.
