Here’s HOW I made this transformation happen. And how I personally handle the breakdowns that often come right before the breakthroughs…
First, understand that the mechanics of starting and growing a business are actually pretty simple and straightforward. They are:
- determine your niche
- generate consistent leads
- make offers that people want
- consistently close sales
- deliver your services
- take care of your clients (think exceeding expectations here)
But at every step of the way, as a woman entrepreneur, you’re going to be challenged on a deeply emotional level. That’s what happened (and still can happen) for me.
Because for every mechanical action needing to be done in your business, one of three core fears often gets triggered.
- The fear of Will I be loved (or Will I lose love)?
- The fear of Will I be accepted (or Am I good enough)?
- The fear of Will I be safe (or Will I be at risk)?
Which is why learning mechanics alone can only provide a temporary boost in your business. Pretty soon, you’ll find yourself stuck again, with lots of head knowledge and little momentum.
When fear tries to take over, there is ONE question I know I can count on to get me back into a place of Divine Possibility and Aligned Action. It’s the one question I asked when I took my business from around 6-figures to over $560k in one year. And it’s the question I asked the next year, when I wanted to break into 7 figures and my head was in my hands, tears in my eyes, thinking I couldn’t do it.
The ONE question I ask when fear and doubt try to take over is:
“What if I could?”
Remember that fear and doubt are never truth. They are simply your ego trying to convince you to stay stuck.
But as strong as your ego is, YOU are more powerful.
And asking, “What if I could?” instantly interrupts an old pattern, helping you create a transformational shift at your core.
For example, you want to attend a training but you don’t think you can because of a prior commitment. What if you could?
Or let’s say your last few Discovery Sessions have not resulted in clients, causing your ego to kick up thoughts of “Maybe I’m not good enough or meant to be successful”. What if you are?
Asking this question immediately opens you to new choices and helps you see possibilities that you can take action on.
Hear this: NOTHING stands in your way of you creating the successful business you dream of, as long as you are willing to question the fears and the doubts your ego tries to throw at you.
Remember, mechanics are easy. And asking “What if I could?” frees you to see possibilities the ego wants to secret away from you.
At the moment my head was in my hands, tears in my eyes, sure that I didn’t know how or have what it takes to break into 7-figures I asked, “What if I could?” I remember the feeling of courage that washed through me. And I remember lifting my head, drying my tears and getting to work. In that moment I had transformed myself, my opportunities and what was possible.
Did I reach my goal? Yes!
Wondering if you could do the same?
What if you could?
