My first year of business I cried more times than I can count (or care to remember!).
I had no clue as to what “marketing” meant I had to do on a day-to-day, hour by hour basis.
I naively thought that by just letting people know how awesome the techniques were that I used to create transformation, everyone would line up, happy to pay me.
I’m laughing as I write this now, but back then, it was no laughing matter.
I had started my business with the goal of replacing my (now former) J-O-B income. And instead of seeing that happen, I was quickly draining my savings account.
Oh, and did I mention that I was unhappily married and my then-husband was out of work most of the time, adding to my financial pressure?
Which meant my personal life stunk, on top of everything else.
What would have saved me a year of tears is if I had known that attracting clients and getting a new business on solid ground is simply a matter of mastering 5 key elements.
And that these 5 key elements are all learnable skills, not some special magic that only a lucky few are born with.
Which is why I’m sharing these 5 key elements with you today. Because whether you are new in your business (trust me, I feel for you!) or you’re at a turning point where you’re ready to leap to the next level and you’re not quite sure how, mastering these 5 key elements will change your success. It did mine, and has been priceless in my creating a multi-million dollar business I run from home.
#1. Mastering Discovery Sessions:
While the process of leading a potential client from inspired to invested is simple, it’s common for women entrepreneurs to harbor a lot of self-doubt when it comes to conducting a selling conversation. Just remember, you’re not doing anything “to” someone (that would go against your integrity). You’re helping someone get clarity so they can get unstuck, make a decision and move forward.

Leverage is where you can multiply the results in your business, freeing up your time and exponentially increasing your income. If you’re new in business you’ll want to focus on leveraging your time so you’re creating as much income as possible and building momentum quickly (VIP Days are awesome for this). As your income stabilizes, you’ll turn your focus towards leveraging your time and your marketing so you’re reaching and serving greater numbers of people efficiently.
