I absolutely love this time of year!
The energy is all about pressing reset and giving ourselves a fresh beginning.
I *used* to think I was going to take a whole day to dreamily journal for hours, set a bunch of new goals, and stop tolerating everything that felt even the slightest bit emotionally heavy…
Only instead, I never quite found the time and wound up trying to squeeze in a whole year’s worth of planning in an hour…
And end up feeling over stimulated with too many ideas, gazing at a too long list of disconnected goals, and getting a little anxious that without a ‘plan’, nothing in fact would change.
Until now.
Today, as I write this message to you, the only thing I journaled was my Word of the Year.
I’m looking at a short list of specific goals for the year.
I let go of listing what I was tolerating because I want all of my energy, creativity and attention focused on what I want to create this year.
And my plan is easy: Focus on giving you my highest value work in the world.
Simple. Elegant. And ultimately freeing.
