Each of us on the panel was invited to speak because of our track record of mentoring entrepreneurs to create 7-figure businesses, from scratch.
Now, be honest…what happens when you see the number, “7 figures”?
Do you say to yourself, “That’s not me” or “I can’t imagine making that kind of money”? Do you feel attraction or resistance to becoming a 7-figure entrepreneur? Do you tell yourself the money isn’t important? Do you judge others who seem to value making more money than you do?
I ask, because your attitude towards money will secretly determine the success of your business. It will predict with astonishing accuracy whether you get to do your life’s work in a huge, meaningful and impactful way…or whether you stay stuck, helping small numbers of people and not fully fulfilling your potential.
To be clear, you don’t need to be “all about the money” in order to be successful.
Quite the opposite.
But what you DO need to be all about is your commitment to breaking through what I call your “money wall”. That’s the mental, emotional and beliefs barrier every woman entrepreneur runs into as she steps into powerfully growing her business.
It’s the wall you hit when you’re no longer willing to treat your business like a hobby.
Because every old way of thinking, believing and acting is going to fight to keep you playing small. To keep you in doubt, fear and uncertainty.
Since I am unabashedly all about helping you break through and break free of your money wall, I thought you would love to get inside my head, and glimpse first-hand some of the beliefs, values and mindsets I hold to be true.
Which is why I’m sharing with you my answers to a few of the questions I was recently asked on the Millionaire Makers panel. Some of the answer may shock you, and I’m okay with that.
So let’s see which of these mindsets is most impactful for YOU!
Q: Kendall, what was the greatest personal shift you made that allowed you to make more money?
Acting “as if” I was a 7-figure business owner, beginning when my income was barely enough to get by on. Every day I would ask, “What would a million dollar business woman do in this situation?” and in just 2 years, I WAS a million dollar business woman!
Q: How much of your energy do you focus on making more money?
This may shock you but of the time I spend each day working on my business, nearly 100% of it is focused on money! That includes income producing activities, projects, conversations and actions. Period.
Q: What’s the greatest thing you have been taught about making money?
Simple — count it. If you’re ignoring money, in denial about it, wishing it would go away or avoiding it, it will get your attention in other, unpleasant ways. My advice? Start tracking what comes in DAILY, look up your bank balances WEEKLY, and begin setting specific goals, including your 60-Day Bold Money Goal. Think of money as a relationship. You can’t ignore any relationship and expect it to thrive and grow.
Q: Why don’t many people make a lot of money?
Because they haven’t been taught how SIMPLE it really is to make money. And they haven’t given themselves PERMISSION to make more, for fear of questioning the mistaken beliefs they were taught as children.
Q: What role do the people around you play in your money making experience?
It’s critical to surround yourself with people who don’t feel threatened by your desire to advance yourself and who won’t put you down or make fun of you.
Because the truth is, by prioritizing creating income you are empowering yourself to grow in ways that are Divinely meant to be. You are being called forward to break out of old patterns and perhaps even called to shift a family legacy. Think of how extraordinary a life you’ll lead when you embrace THIS!
I teach how making fabulous money is a profound part of your spiritual path…
Your financial success comes from being 3 things: being willing to look at your “stuff”, own it and transcend it…being committed to your personal growth and willing to take action, even when you’re afraid…and most of all, from being coachable.
My journey of creating a multi 7-figure enterprise entirely from scratch didn’t happen until I broke through my OWN money wall, questioning every spiritual and practical belief I held about money.
I urge you to do the same because what is on the OTHER side of that wall is the magnificence of YOU that you long to get out into the world!
